Keep the panels vertical to drain.

Let the panels drain for the maximum available time until no leakage of fluid is seen.
(4)
Remove the panels from the transparent plastic bag.
(5)
Clean the panels with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) and a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(6)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002):
- on the rivet heads at all the rivnut positions
-around the plugs.
(7)
When the sealant is tack free, install the panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001).

(1)
Discard the unwanted fluid and the used transparent plastic bags in accordance with local regulations.

Obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(3)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(4)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Fuel Configuration
(1)
Defuel the aircraft (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank(s) (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the wing fuel tank, zone 540 (640).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002) (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001):

for the left wing, remove 540AB
-
for the right wing, remove 640AB.
(3)
For the forward fuel-surge access panel:
- open the aft fuel-surge access panel and keep it open with the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000).
(4)
For the aft fuel-surge access panel:
- open the forward fuel-surge access panel and keep it open with the HOOK-COVER (RIB 2 SURGE DOORS) (98D57004013000).
