Make sure that the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) is installed on the flap/slat control lever.

Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(4)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable zone 522(622).

A. Removal of the Access Panel 522WB(622WB)
(1)
Push in each screw (1) (against spring pressure) and turn 45 degrees clockwise to release the panel (2).
(2)
Remove the panel (2) and let the panel hang on its lanyard.

A. Installation of the Access Panel 522WB(622WB)
(1)
Hold the panel (2) in position and turn the two screws (1) 45 degrees counterclockwise until they lock into position (with spring pressure).
(2)
Make sure that the paint strip on each screw (1) aligns with the paint strip on the panel (2).
(3)
If the paint strip is missing or damaged, make new. Refer to the (Ref. TASK 11-00-00-370-002) procedure.
