Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps.

(1)
Fully extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2)
Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) is on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.

Put the access platform in position below the applicable flap track fairing in Zone 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2)
Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-000-001):

for the left wing, remove 531CB, 532CB, 533CB
-
for the right wing, remove 631CB, 632CB, 633CB.
(3) Put the spark-proof lamp adjacent to the inspection area.

(1)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable flap track fairing in Zone 531(631), 532(632) and 533(633).
(2)
Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-000-004):

for the left wing, remove 531CB, 532CB, 533CB
-
for the right wing, remove 631CB, 632CB, 633CB.
(3)
Put the spark-proof lamp adjacent to the inspection area.

DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
-MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the applicable aft spigot.

B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Outer Wing Flap Track Beams 2, 3 and 4 Aft Spigot
(1) Do a detailed visual inspection of the applicable aft spigot (as far as visible) for:
-damage
-cracks
-corrosion
-damage to surface protection.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the (Ref. ARSM 572600) for the correct

repair procedure.
