A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the pinnion-fitting and the actuator-fitting bolt holes.

B. Inspection
(1) Do a special detailed inspection of the outer wing fixed leading edge pinnion fitting bolting and the actuator fitting lower bolt holes (Ref. NTM 57-41-14 PART 6).
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 574000) for the
____ correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus Industrie.

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the applicable access panels:
-
for the left wing, install 521CB, 521EB, 522AB, 522CB, 522FB, 522KB, 522LB, 522NB, 522QB, 522SB, 522UB
-
for the right wing, install 621CB, 621EB, 622AB, 622CB, 622FB, 622KB, 622LB, 622NB, 622QB, 622SB, 622UB.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 5CV, 7CV.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the access platform(s).

D. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the warning notice(s).

Remove the safety barriers.
(3)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3)
Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Get Access
(1)
Put the adjustable access platform below the applicable wing inboard and outboard leading edge, zones 521 (621) or 522 (622).
(2)
Remove the applicable slats:
-
for the rollers at slat tracks 1, 2, 3 and/or 4, remove the slat No. 1 (Ref. TASK 27-84-63-000-001)
