(1) Put the access platform below the applicable main landing gear bay,
zone 571 or 671.
(2) Remove the applicable MLG leg assembly (Ref. TASK 32-11-11-000-001).

R A. Removal of the Bearing Assembly
R (1) Remove and discard the wire locking from the eight bolts (3).
R (2) Remove the two greasers (2), the bolts (3) and the seal assembly (4).
R (3) Use a plastic spatula to remove the sealant from around the locking
R ring (5).
R (4) Remove the locking ring (5).
R (5) Use the SOCKET-RING (FOR NUT OF FWD PINTLE BEARING) (98D57004003000)
R to remove the bearing-housing assembly (6).
R (6) Remove the shim (1) if installed.
R (7) Remove the bearing housing-halves (8) from the bearing (7).
R (8) Remove and discard the O-ring seal (9).

A. Removal of the Bearing Assembly
(1)
Remove and discard the wire locking from the ten bolts (3).
(2)
Remove the four greasers (2), the bolts (3) and the seal assembly (4).
(3)
Remove and discard the four O-ring seals (6) for the greasers (2) from below the seal assembly (4).
(4)
Use a plastic spatula to remove the sealant from around the locking ring (5).
(5)
Remove the locking ring (5).
(6)
Use the SOCKET-RING (FOR NUT OF FWD PINTLE BEARING) (98D57004003000) to remove the bearing-housing assembly (7).
(7)
Remove the shim (1) if installed.
(8)
Remove the bearing housing-halves (9) from the bearing (8).
(9)
Remove and discard the two O-ring seals (10) from the bearing (8).
