A. Safety Precautions WARNING : OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK.

R (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work in a fuel R tank, (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) and (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(2)
Make sure the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER is installed correctly on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
(4)
Make sure the warning notices are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(5)
Make sure the access platform is in position below the wing fuel tank, zone 540(640).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure the aircraft has been defuelled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Make sure the applicable fuel tank(s) have been drained (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3)
Make sure the access panel 540BB(640BB) has been removed (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001).
(4)
Make sure the access panels 521AZ(621AZ), 521BZ(621BZ) and 521CZ(621CZ) have been removed (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-005).
