CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE PART CORRECTLY. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE PART CORRECTLY, AN INFLIGHT ENGINE SHUTDOWN CAN OCCUR.
MAKE SURE YOU ENGAGE THE MAGNETIC PROBE IN THE HOUSING CORRECTLY.
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT PART NUMBER PROBE. SOME PROBES ARE INTERCHANGEABLE (SEE PW SB 72-162, PW SB 79-14, PW SB 79-16 and PW SB 79-59).
(1) Install the MCD probe (4) into the MCD housing (1) as follows:

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE MCD HOUSING WITH A PACKING ON
_______ IT. IF THE MCD HOUSING DOES NOT HAVE A PACKING, AN OIL LEAKAGE CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a)
Remove the packing (19).
(b)
Lubricate the new packing (19) with engine oil.
(c)
Install the new packing (19) to the MCD probe.
(d)
Clean the remaining oil from the shaft of the MCD probe (4, 12, or 20).
NOTE: Too much oil on the shaft of the MCD probe can cause a
____ hydraulic lock and make the installation not easy or not possible.
1) Put the probe in the housing as follows: a) If applicable, align the pins with the slots.
NOTE: The pins can be in the ID of the housing, the OD
____ of the housing, the ID of the probe grip, or the OD of the probe.
2) Lock the probes as follows:
a) PROBES WITH KNURLED GRIPS; While you push the probe in, turn the probe clockwise until it stops.
NOTE: To make sure the MCD probe (4) is locked, pull
____
the MCD probe (4).
b) PROBES WITH FLUTED GRIPS; While you push on the MCD probe (4), turn the MCD probe (4) clockwise until it stops (1/4 turn).
NOTE: Make sure the six convex shapes on the grips are
____ aligned with the six points on the MCD housing (1).
NOTE: To make sure the MCD probe (4) is locked, pull
____
the MCD probe (4).
