(4)  After the engine stops and the oil system is no longer pressurized, the switch is in the closed position. If the switch fails to close, the OIL PRESS SNS (1, 2, 3, or 4) EICAS advisory message shows. This message shows that the Low Oil Pressure system has a malfunction and shows a high oil pressure when the system pressure is low.

LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure gives the instrucitons to do an operational or system test of the warning system for the low oil pressure.
 B.  You must do the operational test during the engine start and is used to make sure the indicating system operates. You can also use the operational test to make sure the system operation after the replacement of the warning switch for the low oil pressure.
 C.  The system test is used to do a test of the system performance. You can use the system test with the system fault isolation.
