Open the left thrust reverser half (Ref 78-31-00/201).

Visually examine the oil tank for signs of oil leakage or cracks:
NOTE: Cracks that you can see are possibly the cause of an oil
____ leak. Always examine the condition of the packings before you replace the components.
(a) If you find oil leakage around the magnetic chip detector probe or the housing, remove the magnetic chip detector assembly (Ref 79-21-10/401). 1) Examine the packings for damage.
