1. General_______
A. This procedure visually examines the lubrication and scavenge oil pump for signs of oil leakage, cracks, and corrosion.
B. You can get access to the lubrication and scavenge pump through the thrust reverser halves.

Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref 78-31-00/201).

Visually examine the lubrication and scavenge oil pump for signs of oil leakage.
NOTE:____The cracks are possibly the cause of an oil leak. Always examine the condition of the packings first, before you replace a component.
(a) If you find oil leakage from a magnetic chip detector probe or housing, remove the applicable magnetic chip detector assembly (Ref 79-21-10/401) to examine the packings for damage.
