(1)
Lubricate the packings (1, 3) with engine oil.
S 434-006-N00
(2)
Install the packings (1, 3) in the grooves of the pressure relief valve (2).

(3)
Lubricate the threads of the pressure relief valve (2) with engine oil.

(4)
Install the pressure relief valve (2) in the housing of the main oil filter.
(a)
Tighten the pressure relief valve (2) to 525-625 pound-inches (59.3-70.6 N.m.).
(b)
Install the lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule to the pressure relief valve (2).

Do the servicing procedure for the oil tank (Ref 12-13-03/301).

OIL SYSTEM PRESSURE (REGULATOR) RELIEF VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure removes and installs the pressure (regulator) relief valve for the oil system.
B. The pressure (regulator) relief valve is installed in a housing which is attached with bolts to the forward side of the housing for the main oil filter. The housing is installed on the forward face of the main gearbox at the 8 o'clock position. The removal of the housing for the pressure (regulator) relief valve is not necessary.
C. You can get access to the pressure (regulator) relief valve through the left thrust reverser half.
