If applicable, remove bolts (4) that attach the dampener (5) or adapter (15) to the top of the main oil pump.
(f)
If applicable, remove bolts (7) and nuts (8) which attach the dampener (5) or adapter (15) to the loop clamp bracket (6/16).
(g)
If applicable, remove the dampener (5) or adapter (15) from the main oil pump.
(h)
Discard packings (3) from the tube and the dampener (5) or adapter (15), as applicable.

(11) Remove the nuts and washers which attach the lugs for the EEC wire harness to the studs on the oil temperature probe for the No. 3 bearing.
(a) Install the protection caps on the oil temperature probe.

(12) Remove the bolts (2) which attach the flanges of the scavenge tubes that follow from the aft right of the lubrication and scavenge oil pump:
(a)
Scavenge oil tube (1) for the No. 3 bearing
(b)
Scavenge oil tube (11) for the No. 4 bearing
(c)
Scavenge oil tube (3) for the angle gearbox
(d)
Scavenge oil tube (4) for the No. 1, 1.5, and 2 bearing.
1) ENGINES WITH PW SB 79-58; remove the strainer element from the No. 1, 1.5, and 2 bearing oil scavenge tube (4).

(13) Remove the bolts (22) and washers (21) which attach the lubrication and scavenge oil pump (7) to the main gearbox.
