(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7F9 EIU L
2) 7F10 EIU C
3) 7F15 EIU R

Put the applicable EEC MAINT ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) POWER switch on the P461 panel to the TEST position.

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).

WARNING: DO THE THRUST REVERSER DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE

(7) Open the left thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

F. Do a Test of the Bypass Warning System for the Oil Filter

(1)
Disconnect the inlet pressure tube for the oil filter from the differential pressure switch for the oil filter.

(2)
Connect the line from the air pressure source to the differential pressure switch.
S 785-007-N00
(3)
Supply a pressure of 54 |1 psi (370 |7 kPa) to the differential pressure switch.
NOTE: AIRPLANES POST-SERVICE LETTER 747-SL-79-012-A OR
____ POST-SB 747-79-2041; Do the alternate procedure of CMCS Input Monitoring in the step below.
(a) Make sure the EICAS advisory message, ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) OIL FILT, shows on the main EICAS display.
NOTE: The EICAS advisory message, ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) OIL
____ FILT, will not show unless the engine oil temperature is 25°C or more.
(b) If engine oil temperature is less than 25°C, as an alternate procedure you can use CMCS Input Monitoring to make sure the Oil Filter Bypass Warning Input System is correct (AMM 45-10-00/201). ENG 1: Make sure bit 17 shows 1 (input format "C/26/007/01") ENG 2: Make Sure bit 24 shows 1 (input format "C/26/003/10") ENG 3: Make sure bit 22 shows 1 (input format "C/26/003/00") ENG 4: Make Sure bit 14 shows 1 (input format "C/26/002/11")

(4) Increase the pressure to 60 |1 psi (410 |7 kPa).

(b) If engine oil temperature is less than 25°C, as an alternate procedure you can use CMCS Input Monitoring to make sure the Oil Filter Bypass Warning Input System is correct (AMM 45-10-00/201).

ENG 2: Make Sure bit 24 shows 1 (input format "C/26/003/10")
ENG 3: Make sure bit 22 shows 1 (input format "C/26/003/00")
ENG 4: Make Sure bit 14 shows 1 (input format "C/26/002/11")

(5) Decrease the pressure to 38 |1 psi (260 |7 kPa).
