 WARNING: BEFORE YOU OPEN THE OIL TANK CAP, PERMIT A MINIMUM OF FIVE
_______ MINUTES AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN TO LET THE PRESSURE IN THE OIL TANK BLEED OFF. A FAST FLOW OF HOT OIL CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURY TO YOU.
 DO NOT KEEP THE OIL ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT CLEAN THE OIL OFF, THE OIL CAN CAUSE INJURY.
 CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN ALL THE OIL WHICH FALLS. IF YOU DO NOT CLEAN THE OIL OFF, THE OIL CAN CAUSE A STAIN ON YOUR CLOTHES OR PAINT WILL BECOME SOFT.
 (3)  Loosen the oil tank cap (10) with the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Lift the handle and turn it 45 degrees counterclockwise to
 release the lock.


 (b)  
Turn the oil tank cap (10) counterclockwise until it releases.

Remove the magnetic chip detector assembly from the oil tank (AMM 79-21-10/401).

 (5)  
Disconnect the electrical connector (40), DT675, from the oil quantity transmitter, T675.

Disconnect the cooling air tube (36) from the adapter.

 (7)  
Remove the bolt (37) and nut (39) which attach the harness clamp (38) to the oil quantity transmitter.

Disconnect the scupper drain line (13).

 (9)  
Remove the bolts (1) which attach the oil tank (15) and the components that follow to the main gearbox:

 (a)  
The ground strap (34)

 (b)  
The bracket (35)

 (c)  
The support bracket( 16) for the pneumatic tube

 (d)  
The support bracket (18) for the top harness

 (e)  
The support bracket (21) for the lower harness

 (f)  
The identification (I.D.) plate and the bracket (23)

 (g)  
ENGINES POST-PW-SB 72-375;
 Remove the bracket (41) from the oil tank.
