C. ENGINES WITH PW SB 72-525;
The dual element oil filter is a filter within a filter design.
D. The dual element design features a 150 micron secondary element within the 65 micron primary element.
E. ENGINES WITHOUT PW SB 72-525;
The bypass valve for the main oil filter is installed on the top forward side of the housing for the main oil filter.
F. ENGINES WITH PW SB 72-525;
The primary filter bypass valve is installed on the bottom centerbody of the filter assembly.
G. If there is a clogged main oil filter, the bypass valve opens and gives free oil flow around the main oil filter. The bypass valve opens when the differential pressure is more than 70 psid, and closes when the pressure is less than 70 psid.
4. Main Oil Filter Pressure Relief Valve (Fig. 1)

A. The pressure relief valve for the main oil filter is installed on the oil filter housing and senses the pressure differential across the main oil filter. The pressure relief valve supplies continuous oil flow to the main bearings and gearboxes by bypassing the main oil filter if there is a clogged main oil filter.
