(2) Lubricate the packing (6) with engine oil.

(3) Install the packing (6) on the oil quantity transmitter (7).

(4) Put the oil quantity transmitter (7) on the oil tank with the bolt holes aligned.

(5) ENGINES PRE-PW-SB 79-74; Do the steps that follow: (a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (9) with engine oil. (b) Install the bolts (9), nuts (10), and washers (11) to the oil quantity transmitter (7). 1) Tighten the nuts (10).

(6) ENGINES POST-PW-SB 79-74; Do the steps that follow: (a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (16) with engine oil. (b) Install the oil tank heat shield bracket (15) to the bottom of the flange at the top of the oil tank. (c) Install the bolts (16) and nuts (17) to the oil quantity transmitter (7) and oil tank heat shield bracket (15). 1) Tighten the nuts (17).

(7) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (12) with engine oil.

(8) Install the support bracket (8) for the electrical harness and support bracket (1) for the heat shield to the flange on the oil quantity transmitter (7) with the bolts (12), nuts (10), and washers (11). (a) Tighten the nuts (10).

(9) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (12 and 13) with engine oil.

(10) Install the heat shield (4) on the support brackets (1 and 8) with the bolts (12 and 13), nuts (10 and 14), and washers (11).
(a) Tighten the nuts (10 and 14).
