MAIN OIL FILTER ELEMENT - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General
_______
A. This procedure examines the main oil filter element for contamination.
B. The main oil filter is installed in the housing of the main oil filter. The housing is installed on the forward face of the main gearbox at the 8 o'clock position.
C. You can get access to the main oil filter element through the left thrust reverser half.

NOTE:____ The metal particles and other contamination from the element will stay on the surface of the solvent used to clean the element. Make sure the container used to keep the solvent that goes through the element is clean and dry before it is used.
