ENGINE AIR/OIL HEAT EXCHANGER AND VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure removes and installs the air/oil heat exchanger and valve
as an assembly. After the assembly is removed from the engine, you can
remove the valve from the air/oil heat exchanger if it is necessary.
B. The air/oil heat exchanger and valve is installed on the intermediate
case at the 8 o'clock position.
C. You can get access to the air/oil heat exchanger and valve through the
left thrust reverser half.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the applicable FUEL CONTROL switch is in the CUTOFF position.

(a) Install the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the FUEL CONTROL switch.

(3) Push the STAT button on the display select panel of the EICAS and make sure the status page shows on the auxiliary EICAS.
(a) Make sure the applicable EICAS status message, FUEL SPAR VLV 1, 2, 3, or 4, does not show.
