Open the right core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the Thermocouple Probe

(1)
Remove the nuts and washers which attach the lugs for the EEC wire harness to the terminal studs of the thermocouple probe.
(2)
Put the container below the thermocouple probe.

WARNING: BEFORE YOU OPEN THE OIL TANK CAP, PERMIT A MINIMUM OF FIVE
_______ MINUTES AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN TO LET THE PRESSURE IN THE OIL TANK BLEED OFF. A FAST FLOW OF HOT OIL CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURY TO YOU.
DO NOT KEEP THE OIL ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT CLEAN IT OFF, THE OIL CAN CAUSE INJURY.

Remove the thermocouple probe with the steps that follow:
(a)
Remove the bolts which attach the thermocouple probe to the oil scavenge tube.
(b)
Remove the thermocouple probe.
(c)
Discard the packing.
(d)
Install the protection caps.
