(2) S 862-048Close the shutoff valve with a 3/16-inch hex wrench.
(3) S 872-049Use the oil fill valve to bleed the pressure from the tube between the pressure gage and the shutoff valve.
NOTE:____ Use a small container to catch all fluid when it comes through the oil fill valve.
(4) S 032-050Remove the oil fill valve from the pressure gage assembly.
(5) S 482-051Attach a calibrated pressure gage to the oil fill valve port.
NOTE:____ Use the pressure gage on the servicing cart.
(6) S 862-052Open the shutoff valve with a 3/16-inch hex wrench.
(7) S 782-053Compare the indication of the pressure gage on the shock strut to the indication on the servicing cart gage.
NOTE:____ If the pressure difference is 50 psig (344.7 kPa) or more, replace the pressure gage on the shock strut.
(8) S 172-054If the two gages show the same pressure, flush the clogged flow fuse: (a) Close the shutoff valve with a 3/16-inch hex wrench.

(b)
Disconnect the pressure gage on the servicing cart from the oil fill valve port.
(c)
Install the oil fill valve in the pressure gage assembly.
(d)
Install a lockwire from the oil fill valve to the tube connection.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PRESSURE FIRST FROM THE WING LANDING GEAR OR
_______ REMOVE IT EQUALLY FROM ALL OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE AIRPLANE CAN FALL TO THE SIDE IF YOU REMOVE THE PRESSURE INCORRECTLY.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU DEFLATE THE STRUT MAKE SURE THAT THE AREA BELOW
_______ THE WINGS IS CLEAR. WHEN YOU DEFLATE THE STRUT THE WING CAN LOWER MANY FEET, WHICH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(e) Release the pressure from the shock strut.
1) Remove the cap from the air valve at the top of the shock strut.
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE VALVE ASSEMBLY UNTIL YOU FULLY
_______ RELEASE THE PRESSURE IN THE SHOCK STRUT. INTERNAL PRESSURE CAN BLOW THE VALVE FROM THE STRUT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION:_______LET THE AIR OUT OF THE STRUT SLOWLY. IF YOU LET THE AIR OUT OF THE STRUT QUICKLY, THE FLUID WILL COME THROUGH THE AIR VALVE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE TIRES AND OTHER SURFACES, IT CAN CAUSE DETERIORATION.
2) Slowly loosen the outer nut on the air valve to a maximum of two turns.
NOTE: Bubbles will come out of the air valve immediately
____
after you loosen the outer nut.
(f)
Remove the pressure cap from the oil fill valve.
(g)
Attach the hydraulic fluid line to the oil fill valve.
(h)
Open the shutoff valve with a 3/16-inch hex wrench.
(i)
Use the hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic fluid line to flush the flow fuse. 1) Make sure you have something to contain the hydraulic fluid
when it comes out of the air valve port.
