(1) Make sure that you install the ground locks for the landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU DO THESE STEPS BEFORE YOU OPERATE THE DOORS:
_______ MAKE SURE SHOCK STRUTS (OLEOS) FOR THE BODY GEAR HAVE THE CORRECT MINIMUM DIMENSION. MAKE SURE THE TIRES ARE AT THE CORRECT PRESSURE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN HIT AND CATCH ON THE TIRES. IF THE STRUT AND TIRES ARE DEFLATED, THE BODY GEAR DOORS WILL HIT THE GROUND WHEN YOU OPEN THEM.
(2) Make sure the minimum X dimension for the body gear struts (oleos) is as shown on the foil marker.
NOTE: The marker is on the inner surface of the gear strut door,

below the handle.

(3) Make sure the tires are at the correct pressure (AMM 12-15-06/301).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE DOOR
_______ OPERATION AREA. FAST MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Move the ground release handle for the wing and body gear doors to the Doors Open position.
NOTE:____This will open the wing and body gear doors. Handles for main gear doors are on the keel beams near the aft inboard corners of wheel wells for the body gear. You can get to the handles through the strut door openings for the body gear.

(5) Release the pressure from hydraulic system No. 1 and No. 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

CAUTION: HOLD UP THE WHEEL WELL INBOARD DOOR OF THE BODY GEAR BEFORE YOU
_______ REMOVE THE OPERATOR RODS. IF YOU LET A DOOR HANG IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(6)
Disconnect the operator rods from the inboard and outboard wheel well doors of the body gear.

Put a warning streamer on the end of each rod.

WARNING: HOLD THE DOORS OPEN OR KEEP THE DOOR OPERATION AREA CLEAR.
_______ FAST MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(8) Disconnect the operator rods from the wing gear doors (Ref Disconnect the Wing Gear Door Operator Rods) or install wing gear door locks (Ref Install the Wing Gear Door Locks) if necessary.
