WING GEAR UPPER JURY STRUT - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task. This task is an inspection of the upper jury strut on the wing landing gear for worn areas.
B. You must do these steps to do the task:
-
Disconnect the upper jury strut from the spindle of the upper jury strut
-
Disconnect the lower jury strut at the apex pin assembly
-Measure the fit of the apex pin assembly and the spindle pin assembly.

Remove the upper jury strut and the assembly of the upper spindle pin (32-11-08/401, 20-11-01/401).
(2)
Remove the apex pin assembly (32-11-08/401, 20-11-01/401).

Examine the apex pin assembly and the spindle pin assembly for worn areas.
(a)
Measure the parts and compare the measured dimensions to the wear limit dimensions.
(b)
If a part is not in tolerance, repair or replace it.

(4) Install the upper jury strut, the upper spindle and the apex pin assemblies (Ref 32-11-08/401).
