1 LUBRICATE WITH BMS 3-33 GREASE UNTIL NO BMS 3-27 COMES THROUGH THE GREASE VENT ON THE OUTER DIAMETER OF THE TRUNNION SLEEVE. WIPE THE BMS 3-27 FROM THE OUTER SLEEVE WITH A CLEAN CLOTH.

 (5)  S 494-206Install chocks at each wheel.
 (6)  S 864-207Release the parking brake.
 (7)  S 864-004Release the pressure from the hydraulic systems 1 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
 (8)  S 864-208Remove the pressure from the brake accumulator: (a) Look at the pressure on the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the captain's instrument panel. (b) Push the brake pedals fully 10 times. (c) Make sure the pressure does not decrease the last time you operate the brake pedals.
 (9)  S 034-006Disconnect the shock strut doors from the wing landing gear.

 (10) Use a rope to hold the shock strut doors away from the wing landing gear.

 CAUTION: REMOVE THE PRESSURE FIRST FROM THE WING LANDING GEAR OR REMOVE
_______ IT EQUALLY FROM ALL OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE AIRPLANE CAN FALL TO THE SIDE IF YOU REMOVE THE PRESSURE INCORRECTLY.
 CAUTION: BEFORE YOU DEFLATE THE STRUT MAKE SURE THAT THE AREA BELOW THE
_______ WINGS IS CLEAR. WHEN YOU DEFLATE THE STRUT THE WING CAN LOWER MANY FEET, WHICH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
 (11)
 Release the pressure from the shock strut:

 (a)
Remove the cap from the air valve (Fig. 401, Detail A).

 WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE VALVE ASSEMBLY UNTIL YOU FULLY RELEASE
_______ THE PRESSURE IN THE SHOCK STRUT. INTERNAL PRESSURE CAN BLOW THE VALVE FROM THE STRUT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 CAUTION:_______LET THE AIR OUT OF THE STRUT SLOWLY. IF YOU LET THE AIR OUT OF THE STRUT QUICKLY, THE FLUID WILL COME THROUGH THE AIR VALVE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE TIRES AND OTHER SURFACES, IT CAN CAUSE DETERIORATION.
 (b) Loosen the outer nut a maximum of two turns.
 NOTE: Bubbles will come out of the air valve immediately after
____
 you loosen the nut.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE STRUT IS FULLY DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE JACKING.
_______ FAILURE TO DO THIS CAN LET THE STRUT MOVE UNDER PRESSURE AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (12)
 Lift the airplane with the fuselage jacks until 12 inches of the inner cylinder shows (AMM 07-11-01/201).
