 WING GEAR SIDE STRUT LOWER SPINDLE - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure has three tasks:
 (1)  
The removal of the lower spindle of the side strut for the wing landing gear (referred to as the lower spindle).

 (2)  
The installation of the lower spindle

 (3)  
The inspection of the lower spindle.

 B.  
The lower spindle is on the bottom end of the lower side strut. It is attached to the inboard side of the shock strut adjacent to the upper torsion link.

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
