Remove the two bolts between the trunnion and the trunnion fork (AMM 32-11-19/401).
S 034-024
(18)
Remove the hydraulic line on the inboard side of the trunnion.
NOTE: You do not have to remove the hydraulic line to remove the
____ landing gear. You must hold the line away from the landing gear if you let the hydraulic line stay on the airplane.

(19)
Remove the wing landing gear (1) (Fig. 401).
(a)
Use a tape to attach an inclinometer to the shock strut to measure the forward and aft angle of the strut (Fig. 401).
NOTE: The usual angle of the shock strut is 9 to 11 degrees.
____ Use the inclinometer to measure the angle of the strut while you remove the landing gear from the airplane.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE OLEO JACK CONTINUOUSLY TOUCHES THE SHOCK
_______ STRUT. IF YOU MOVE OR COMPRESS THE SHOCK STRUT WHILE THE JACK IS LOOSE, THE SHOCK STRUT CAN FALL FORWARD. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR.
DO NOT LOOSEN THE MECHANICAL LOCK MORE THAN THAT WHICH IS NECESSARY TO LOWER THE SHOCK STRUT. THE SHOCK STRUT CAN TURN ON THE OLEO JACK IF THE ANGLE OF THE STRUT IS MORE THAN 15 DEGREES. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR.
(b) Lower the oleo jack to put the shock strut at an angle.
NOTE: You must turn the turnbuckle on the mechanical lock
____ to permit the strut to move. The wheel truck will move aft while the top of the shock strut moves forward. This will permit the trunnion and the trunnion fork to move apart.
(c)
Turn the trunnion fork up at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.
(d)
Use a rope to hold the trunnion fork to the structure.
(e)
Lift the shock strut with the oleo jack until the trunnion is parallel with the ground.
NOTE: You must turn the turnbuckle on the mechanical lock
____
to permit the strut to move.
WARNING: DO NOT LOOSEN THE MECHANICAL LOCK MORE THAN THAT WHICH IS
_______ NECESSARY TO LOWER THE SHOCK STRUT. THE SHOCK STRUT CAN TURN ON THE OLEO JACK IF THE ANGLE OF THE STRUT IS MORE THAN 15 DEGREES. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR.
(f) Move the forward wheels of the truck inboard until the trunnion is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the airplane. 1) Make sure the aft trunnion bearing moves freely while you
move the wheel truck.

(g)
Pull the trunnion from the rear bearing. 1) Push on the shock strut in the forward direction. 2) Adjust the height of the shock strut with the oleo jack. 3) If it is necessary, use a pry bar which has rubber on its
outer surface to loosen the trunnion from the aft bearing.
(h)
Carefully move the landing gear forward. 1) Make sure the landing gear does not hit the loose hydraulic lines.
2) Make sure the aft trunnion bearing moves freely away from the support beam.
WARNING: DO NOT LOOSEN THE MECHANICAL LOCK MORE THAN THAT WHICH IS
_______ NECESSARY. THE SHOCK STRUT CAN TURN ON THE OLEO JACK IF THE ANGLE OF THE STRUT IS MORE THAN 15 DEGREES. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR.
LOWER THE SHOCK STRUT SLOWLY WITH THE OLEO JACK. THE OLEO JACK CAN DISENGAGE IF THE SHOCK STRUT MOVES TOO QUICKLY. THE SHOCK STRUT CAN THEN FALL WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(i) Use the oleo jack and the mechanical lock to lower the shock strut at a constant angle.
