Move the landing gear to the correct position with the axle jacks.
(a)
Move the landing gear until the trunnion approximately aligns with the longitudinal axis of the airplane.
(b)
Make sure the trunnion aligns with the aft trunnion bearing in the support beam.
(c)
Make sure you can lower the airplane with a safe clearance between the landing gear and the airplane structure.

CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE ALL EQUIPMENT IS CLEAR OF THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRPLANE CAN COME DOWN ON THE MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE AND THE EQUIPMENT.

Lower the airplane until approximately 12.5 inches of the inner cylinder is in view on the other (installed) wing landing gear.

Carefully lift the outer cylinder of the shock strut with the oleo jack.
NOTE: Make sure the air valve on the shock strut is open.

Align the aft end of the trunnion with the aft bearing on the support beam.
(b)
Move the landing gear until the trunnion is parallel with the ground.
