 5.  Wing Gear Jury Strut (Fig. 1)

 A.  The jury strut of the wing landing gear provides a stiffening member for the side strut assembly. The upper segment contains an angled spindle which attaches to the upper shock strut. The lower segment attaches to the hinge portion of the side strut through a common apex bolt. The center portion of the jury strut contains shim pads to provide adjustment for correct overcenter positioning.
 6.  Wing Gear Wheel Truck

 A.  The truck of the wing landing gear is a T-shaped tubular steel beam to which the forward and aft axles are attached. A jacking pad and a towing eye are formed on front and aft ends of the truck beam. The lower torsion link attaches to the upper aft portion of the truck beam.
 B.  The forward and aft horizontal arms of the truck beam carry the one-piece axles. Each axle is locked into position by a retaining fitting. The retaining fittings are bolted to the center of the axle inside the truck beam. Axles are machined on each side of the truck beams to support wheel bearing bushings and brake housing bushings. Brake housings carry the brake assembly and provide attachment lugs for brake equalizer rods. Brake equalizer rods link the brake housings with the lower terminal of the inner cylinders of the shock strut. This arrangement aids in preventing porpoising as brakes are applied on landing or taxi-roll.
 C.  The truck beam is machined and drilled horizontally at the center to mate with the yoke at the lower end of the inner cylinder of the shock strut. One large bolt attaches the truck to the shock strut. Hydraulic tubing and electric wiring are attached to the truck. The static ground wire attaches to the aft end of the truck beam.
 D.  The truck beams of the wing and body landing gears are interchangeable. Lugs for attaching truck positioning actuators are provided on each truck beam; aft lugs for attaching truck positioning actuator for the wing landing gear, and forward lugs for attaching truck positioner for the body landing gear. The unused holes should have protective covers installed to preclude bushing damage.
 E.  Each truck beam is protected from damage by a shield clamped under the truck.
 7.  Wing Gear Uplock Roller

 A.  The uplock hook engages the uplock roller when the wing landing gear is retracted holding the gear in the up and locked position. The uplock roller consists of a sleeve, two needle bearings, roller, uplock roller bolt, washer, nut, and cotter pin. The uplock roller is connected to the drag brace pin, aft of the lower spindle attachment of the side strut on the inboard side of the shock strut.
 8.  Wing Gear Torsion Links

 A.  The torsion links of the wing landing gear the prevent rotation between the inner and outer cylinders for the shock strut without affecting the reciprocating action during normal operation of the strut. The upper torsion link and bottom attachment of the lower drag brace attach to opposing lugs on the outer cylinder of the shock strut, with the torsion links on the aft side of the shock strut. The lower torsion link is connected to lugs on the truck beam. Upper and lower torsion links are joined at their aft ends by a bolt, which also attaches the forward end of the positioning mechanism bellcrank.

 9.  Wing Gear Actuator Walking Beam

 A.  The actuator walking beam of the wing landing gear works in conjunction with the actuator, to retract and extend the wing gear assembly. The walking beam serves to reduce the reaction force going into the airplane structure from the actuator. This is done by taking the reaction force of the actuator back to the trunnion through the walking beam.
