(5) Disconnect the hose bracket (9) from the inboard end of the lower
jury strut (3).

(6) Use a rope to hold the hydraulic hoses away from the work area.

(7) Disconnect the lower end of the downlock actuator (4) from the side
strut (AMM 32-32-15/401).

(8) Use a rope to hold the downlock actuator to the lower jury strut.

(9) Disconnect the lower end of the lower side strut (6) from the
spindle (27):
(a) Remove the three nuts from the bolts in the side plates (24).
(b) Pull the bolts from the side plates (24).
NOTE: This will also remove the roller (23), the link (25),____
and the pushrod end (26).
(c) Use the hoist with a sling to hold the lower side strut (6).
(d) Remove the lockbolt (20), the nut (21), the tang washer (22),
and the spindle bolt (30).

Use a rope or a sling to hold the upper side strut in its usual position.

Use a rope or a sling to hold the jury strut in its usual position.
S 034-058 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE UPPER SIDE STRUT AND THE JURY STRUT ARE SAFE
_______ BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE APEX BOLT. THE UPPER SIDE STRUT AND THE JURY STRUT WEIGH APPROXIMATELY 130 POUNDS. IF THESE COMPONENTS FALL, THEY CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
