Remove the special nut (13).
(c)
Pull the drag brace pin (23) with the lubrication insert (20) through the connection.
NOTE: The drag brace will hang from the top connection.

(8) Remove the spherical bearing (15).
NOTE: The removal of the spherical bearing (15) is optional.
____ It is not necessary to remove the spherical bearing (15) to remove the drag brace (9).

Remove the bearing nut (19) and the key washer (16).
(b)
Pull the spherical bearing (15) from the drag brace (9).

Hold the drag brace (9) with the hoist and a sling.

Remove the nut (8), the washer (7), and the antirotation bolt (6) from the top of the drag strut (9).

Remove the trunnion bolt (12).

Remove the nut (3), the washer (2), and the lockbolt (1).

Remove the special nut (37) with the tang washer (4).
(c)
Pull the trunnion bolt (12) with the lubrication insert (11) from the connection.
