B. A pressure gage is mounted on the lower portion of the strut to read strut charge pressure.
C. The outer cylinder is a large forging, bored to fit the inner cylinder. The upper portion provides an extension for attachment to airplane structure. A full shock-strut-width lug provides an attachment for the trunnion fork, on the forward side of the cylinder. Lugs on the lower end provide attachment points for the drag brace, upper torsion links, positioning actuator and the universal side strut attachment.
D. The inner cylinder, complete with lower attachment lugs is machined from one forging.
E. A flow fuse is provided in the line connecting the shock strut pressure gage to the outer cylinder. In case of malfunction or damage to gage, hydraulic fluid loss will be limited.
F. A shutoff valve is provided in the line connecting the shock strut pressure gage to the outer cylinder to facilitate maintenance on the pressure gage and associated plumbing.
3. Wing Gear Drag Brace (Fig. 2)

A. The one-piece drag brace stabilizes the shock strut of the wing landing gear in the fore and aft directions. The lower end of the drag brace contains a spherical bearing which is pinned to lugs on the lower front side of the shock strut outer cylinder. The upper end of the drag brace is attached to a lug on the lower portion of the trunnion fork. Attach lugs on the support linkage of the drag brace for the shock strut door.
4. Wing Gear Side Strut (Fig. 1)

A. The side strut assembly of the wing landing gear provides lateral support for the shock strut. The side strut assembly consists of an upper segment and a lower segment. An apex bolt attaches the two segments, which hinge inward toward the shock strut on extension or retraction. The upper end of the upper side strut contains the upper spindle, which attaches to body structure. The bottom end of the lower segment attaches to the lower spindle which fastens to a lug on the lower inboard end of the outer cylinder of the shock strut.
B. A straight spindle located in the center of the lower segment is the attach point for the downlock actuator. A fitting located in center of the upper segment is the attach point for the downlock bungee. The other ends of both the downlock actuator and bungee attach to the jury strut. The jury strut is attached to the center hinge of the side strut with the same apex pin holding the side strut segments together.
