Procedure
S 862-043
(1) Do one of the steps that follow to hold the landing gear doors in the open position:
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO
_______ INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE DOOR
_______ OPERATION AREA. A FAST MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b) Move the ground release handles for the doors for the main landing gear to the DOORS OPEN position.

Remove the ground locks from the left wing landing gear (Fig. 201):
(a)
Remove the nut and the washer from the lockpin retainer bolt.
(b)
Remove the lockpin retainer bolt.
(c)
Remove the AN960-1616 washer from the ground lockpin.
(d)
Remove the ground lockpin.
(e)
Remove the attach cable, the streamer and the split ring from the lockpin box.
(f)
Attach the cable, the streamer and the split ring to the ground lockpin.
(g)
Put the ground lockpin in the lockpin box.

Remove the ground locks from the right wing landing gear (Fig. 201).
(a)
Remove the nut and the washer from the lockpin retainer bolt.
(b)
Remove the lockpin retainer bolt.
(c)
Remove the AN960-1616 washer from the ground lockpin.
(d)
Remove the ground lockpin.
(e)
Remove the attach cable, the streamer and the split ring from the lockpin box.

(f) (g) Attach the cable, the streamer and the split ring to the ground lockpin.Put the ground lockpin in the lockpin box.
(4) S 862-044Do the steps that follow that are necessary to close the landing gear doors:
WARNING:_______ YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Do this task: "Removal of the Door Locks from the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE DOOR OPERATION AREA. A FAST MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b) Move the ground release handles for the doors for the main landing gear to the DOORS CLOSED position.
(5) S 862-017If it is open, close the circuit breaker that follows and remove the collar: (a) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7F24, LANDING GEAR LEVER LOCK
(6) S 862-021Move the switch for Gear Down Dispatch out of the Gear Down Dispatch position.
NOTE:____ The switch is on the forward right side of the Electrical and Electronics compartment.
(7) S 432-032Install the safety wire on the Gear Down Dispatch switch.
