Do a check of the operation of the downlock actuator:
(a)
Move the control handle to the DN position and hold for 3 minutes.
(b)
Look for movement of the actuator piston rod when you supply hydraulic pressure to the lock port.
NOTE: Movement of the piston will push the jury strut to the
____ OVERCENTER (locked) position.
(c)
Do a check of the hydraulic connections for leaks.
(d)
Move the control handle to the UP position and hold for 3 minutes.
(e)
Look for movement of the actuator piston rod when you supply hydraulic pressure to the UNLOCK port.
NOTE: Movement of the piston will push the jury strut against
____
the ground locks.
(f)
Open the bleed valve on the head end of the actuator to bleed the valve.
(g)
Close the bleed valve.
(h)
Do a check of the hydraulic connections for leaks.
(i)
Move the control handle to the DN position.

Put the Airplane in Its Usual Condition.

Remove the jacks from the airplane.

WING LANDING GEAR UPPER SIDE STRUT - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains a task to examine the fit of the bolt assemblies on the upper side strut of the wing landing gear. These assemblies include the spindle bolt assembly and the apex bolt assembly.
B. To do this procedure, you must remove the upper side strut.
