Procedure
 S 094-011
 (1)  
Remove the caps from the tubes and the ports.

 S 434-012

 (2)  
If a new governor unit is to be installed, install these parts:


 NOTE: The component threads and the packings must be lubricated
____
 with engine oil when you install them.

 (a)  
The packing on the 45° elbow

 (b)  
The 45° elbow in the port on the side of the governor unit and oil pump drive 1) Do not tighten the elbow.

 (c)  
The jam nut and the packing on the tee

 (d)  
The tee in the top port on the governor unit and oil pump drive. 1) Do not tighten the jam nut.

 (3)  
Install the governor unit and oil pump drive:

 (a)  
Install the packing, lubricated with engine oil, in the mounting flange groove of the governor unit and oil pump drive.

 (b)  
Install the quill spring on the quill shaft.

 (c)  
Put the quill shaft into the oil pump shaft.

 (d)  
Put the governor unit and oil pump drive in its position on the turbine drive gearbox.

 (e)  
Install the three mounting bolts and the washers in the mounting flange. 1) Tighten the bolts.

 (f)  Make sure the quill shaft engaged the drive gear for the oil pump: 1) Remove the five screws that attach the turbine exhaust
 cascade to the structure. 2) Remove the turbine exhaust cascade. 3) Remove the oil filler cap from the oil opening. 4) Put your hand through the turbine exhaust and manually turn
 the turbine drive impeller.
 a)  While you turn the impeller, look through the oil fill port and make sure the quill shaft turns when the impeller turns.
 5) Install the oil filler cap.
 6) Install the turbine exhaust cascade with the five screws.

 (g)  
Install the gearbox oil breather and the gasket in the boss on the governor unit and oil pump drive.

 (h)  
Connect the pressure tube for the control air that comes from the actuator on the speed control valve to the tee on the governor unit.

 (i)  
Connect the pressure tube for the control air that comes from the acceleration control unit to the tee on the governor unit.

 (j)  
Connect the pressure tube for the control air that comes from the air filter and the water separator to the 45° elbow.

 (k)  
Tighten the jam nut on the tee and on the 45° elbow.

Fill the oil system for the turbine drive unit (AMM 12-13-09/301).

 (5)  
Do the test of the installation of the governor unit and oil pump drive:

 (a)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
