WARNING:_______ DO NOT OPEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM BEFORE RELEASE THE PRESSURE IN
THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM. THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZES THE
HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR. PRESSURIZED HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE
INJURY.
(1)
Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).
(a)
Operate the bleed valve on the pressurization module to release the pressure in the reservoir (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Open the right half of the thrust reverser for the applicable engine (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Drain the hydraulic reservoir:
(a)
Disconnect the hydraulic supply hose from the EDP (AMM 29-11-05/401).
(b)
Put a container below the EDP.
(c)
Install the MS21902-20 union in the self-sealing disconnect.
(d)
Drain the hydraulic reservoir.
(e)
Remove the union from the self-sealing disconnect.

Connect the hydraulic supply hose to the EDP.
(a)
Tighten the supply hose connection to 855-945 pound-inches (95-105 N.m).

(5)
Disconnect the hydraulic supply hose below the firewall.

(6)
Remove the cover plate:
(a)
Remove the sealant from the edges of the cover plate.
(b)
Remove the mounting screws and remove the cover plate.

Remove the self-sealing disconnect:
(a)
Remove the sealant from the mounting bolts and the edges of the mounting flange.
(b)
Remove the bolts and remove the self-sealing disconnect.
