Procedure

(1)
Install the return filter element:
(a)
Lubricate the new packings and the filter bowl threads with hydraulic fluid.

(2) Install the packing for the filter case (View A-A).
NOTE:____There are two packings supplied with each filter kit. It is not always necessary to replace the upper packing each time you replace the filter element.
(a)
Install the new filter element on the fitting on the module.
(b)
Install the filter case.
(c)
Tighten the case to 540-600 pound-inches (60-65 N.m).
(d)
Install a lockwire on the filter case.
(e)
Install the retainer clamp on the module.
(3)
Pressurize the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Examine the return module for leakage.
(a)
If you find leakage, repair the cause of it.

(6) On systems 1 and 4, close the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

Remove the four mounting screws.
(b)
Remove the differential pressure indicator from the return module.
