 Put the HYD PUMPS DEMAND switch in the ON position.

Make sure the HYD PUMPS DEMAND PRESS light goes off.

 Examine the doors on the trailing edge fairing:

 (a)  
Examine the latches on the doors in the trailing edge fairing for cracks and wear.

 (b)  
Make sure that all latches are there.

 (c)  
Repair and adjust the latches if it is necessary
 (AMM 54-62-02/501).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE FAIRING
_______ CORRECTLY. IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT, THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOORS.

 AUXILIARY AC MOTOR-DRIVEN HYDRAULIC PUMP - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the auxiliary AC motor-driven hydraulic pump (referred to as the hydraulic pump) The second task installs the hydraulic pump. The second task also does a test of the hydraulic pump.
 B.  The hydraulic pump is on the aft side of the torque box in the nacelle struts for the No. 1 and No. 4 engines. The pump is attached to a bracket that also holds the turbine drive for the air-driven pump. You must open the doors in the trailing edge fairing to get access to the hydraulic pump.
