When the fluid quantity is between 0.35 and 0.75, a RF (refill) message will show. This message shows adjacent to the digital indication of the hydraulic quantity on the auxiliary EICAS display. This refill message shows on the EICAS status, synoptic, and maintenance displays. This refill message shows only when the airplane is on the ground.
(4)
When the fluid quantity is 1.15 or more, an OF (overfull) message will show. This message shows adjacent to the digital indication of the hydraulic quantity on the auxiliary EICAS display. This overfull message shows on the EICAS maintenance display when the airplane is on the ground.
(5)
The SYS FAULT light will come on if the fluid quantity is 0.34 (34% full) or less. This amber light is on the hydraulic control panel.
(6)
The EICAS advisory message, HYD QTY SYS (1, 2, 3 or 4), will show if the fluid quantity is 0.34 or less. This message will show on the auxiliary EICAS display unit.

HYDRAULIC FLUID QUANTITY TRANSMITTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the hydraulic fluid quantity transmitter (referred to as the transmitter). The second task installs the transmitter.
B. You must open the doors in the trailing edge fairing to get access to the transmitter.
C. The outboard and inboard transmitters are not interchangeable. The inboard transmitter is shorter than the outboard transmitter. A transmitter will not show the correct fluid quantity if you install it in an incorrect hydraulic reservoir.
