WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT
CONTROL SURFACES. THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES CAN MOVE WHEN
YOU OPEN THE SHUTOFF VALVES FOR THE FLIGHT CONTROLS. A
MOVEMENT OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
(4) Put the eight FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switches in the ON position. NOTE: The switches are on the P461 panel.

(5) Open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

Operate the bleed valve on the reservoir pressurization module to decrease the system reservoir pressure to 0 psig (AMM 29-17-01/201).

Open the right thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Connect the hydraulic test bench:
(a)
Disconnect the hose at the pressure port on the engine-driven pump (EDP) of the applicable system (AMM 29-11-05/401).
(b)
Connect the pressure hose from the test bench to the EDP pressure hose.
(c)
Connect the return hose from the test bench to the return-module-service disconnect for the applicable system.

(11) Put the HYD PUMPS DEMAND switch for the applicable system in the OFF position.
NOTE: The switch is on the P5 panel.

Make sure the reservoir quantity indication, on the EICAS status page for the applicable system, is between 0.7-1.1.

Make sure the reservoir fluid temperature, on the EICAS status page for the applicable system, is less than 158°F (70°C).

Make sure the PRESS light for the demand pump of the applicable system is on.

Do these steps while you monitor the applicable SYS FAULT light and the test bench pressure:
(a)
Slowly increase the test bench pressure to 1300 psig.
