Procedure


 S 434-024
 (1)  
Install the reducer:

 (a)  
Lubricate the new packing with engine oil.

 (b)  
Install the packing on the reducer.

 (c)  
Install the reducer in the pressure port for the control air on the accelerator control unit.

 (2)  
Install the acceleration control unit:

 (a)  
Put the acceleration control unit in its position on the mounting bracket.

 (b)  
Install the three mounting bolts, the bushings, the washers, and the nuts. 1) Tighten the nuts.

 (c)  
Connect the pressure tube for the control air to the
 acceleration control unit.

 (3)  
Install the ADP turbine drive (AMM 29-11-08/401).

 (4)  
Do a test of the control unit installation:

 (a)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Install the ADP muffler on the turbine exhaust.

 (c)  
Apply the leak detector to the fitting on the accelerator control unit.

 (d)  
Supply pressure to the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

 (e)  
Put the applicable HYD DEMAND switch on the P5 panel in the ON position.

 (f)  
Examine the fitting for leakage.
 1) If you find leakage, repair the cause of it.


 (g)  
Put the HYD DEMAND switch in the OFF position.

 (h)  
Release the pressure in the pneumatic system
 (AMM 36-00-00/201).


 (i)  
Remove the ADP muffler.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE FAIRING DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ CORRECTLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT.
 (5)  
Close the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

 (6)  
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary for other operations (AMM 24-22-00/201).
