AUXILIARY PUMP CASE DRAIN FILTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the auxiliary pump case drain filter (referred to as the filter). The second task installs the filter.
B. A filter is installed aft of the reservoir in the No. 1 and No. 4 engine struts. It is necessary to open the doors in the trailing edge fairing to get access to the filter.

Procedure

(1)
Open the doors in the trailing edge fairing (AMM 54-62-00/201).
(2)
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

(3)
Disconnect the hose from the IN port of the filter and the tube from the OUT port.

(4)
Install caps on the open tube, the hose, and the ports on the filter.

(5)
Remove the bolts, washers, radius filler, and nuts which attach the filter to the bracket.
