D. Procedure

(1)
Install the water separator for the shutoff valve:
(a)
Install the packing, lubricated with engine oil, on the water separator for the shutoff valve.
(b)
Put the water separator housing in its position on the shutoff/ speed control valve.
(c)
Install the two washers and the bolts. 1) Tighten the bolts. 2) Install a lockwire on the bolts.
(d)
Connect the tee fitting to the water separator housing on the shutoff valve.
(e)
Install the shutoff and modulator supply tube between the two tee fittings.

(2) Check Shutoff Valve water separator connections for leaks (AMM 29-11-15/201 - Water Separator and Air Filter Installation Inspection).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE FAIRING DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ CORRECTLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT.
(3) Close the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the applicable strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

Remove the in-line air filter for the shutoff valve:
(a)
Disconnect the elbow from the solenoid valve assembly.
CAUTION:_______REMOVE THE TUBE CONNECTION CAREFULLY. THE FILTER CAN FALL OUT OF THE TUBE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FILTER.
(b)
Disconnect the elbow from the supply port tube for the shutoff valve.
(c)
Remove the in-line air filter from the supply port tube for the shutoff valve.
