Remove the ACMP (1):
(a)
Remove the mounting bolt (3), the washers (4), and the nut (5).
(b)
Remove the mounting bolts (7), the washers (20), and the nuts (21).
(c)
Disconnect the ground strap (6) from the ACMP (1).
(d)
Remove the ACMP (1) from the strut.

Remove all the hydraulic fluid from the airplane structure (AMM 12-25-01/301).

If a new ACMP is to be installed, remove the unions:
(a)
The union (17) and the packing (16) from the supply port 1) Discard the packing.
(b)
The union (11) and the packing (12) from the pressure port 1) Discard the packing.
(c)
The union (8) and the packing (9) from the case drain port. 1) Discard the packing.

If you replace the ACMP for one of the conditions which follow, do the procedure which is necessary to flush the system or replace the filters (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(a)
Mechanical failure.
(b)
Leakage at the shaft or housing seal.
(c)
The ACMP became too hot.

If a new ACMP is to be installed, install the unions:
(a)
The packing (9), lubricated with hydraulic fluid, on the union
(8)
(b) The packing (12), lubricated with hydraulic fluid, on the union
(11)
(c) The packing (16), lubricated with hydraulic fluid, on the union
(17)
(d) The union (17) in the supply port 1) Tighten the union (17) to 428-472 pound-inches (47-52 N.m).
