HYDRAULIC OVERHEAT CONDITION.
THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM HEAT EXCHANGERS USE FUEL TO REMOVE HEAT FROM THE HYDRAULIC FLUID. DO NOT OPERATE A HYDRAULIC PUMP FOR MORE THAN 30 MINUTES IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FUEL AVAILABLE FOR HEAT EXCHANGER OPERATION.
DO NOT OPERATE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR 20 MINUTES AFTER A SYSTEM OVERHEAT OCCURS. OPEN THE TRAILING EDGE FAIRING DOORS IF THE AIR TEMPERATURE IS MORE THAN 100° F (38°C).
(5) Monitor the HYD SYS TEMP indication for each hydraulic system to make sure the hydraulic fluid does not become too hot.
