Procedure


 S 422-048
 (1)  
Install the water separator for the speed control valve:

 (a)  
Install a packing, lubricated with engine oil, on to the inside of the mounting flange of the water separator housing for the speed control valve.

 (b)  
Put the water separator in its position on the shutoff/speed control valve unit.

 (c)  
Install the clamp bracket with the two washers and the bolts.

 (d)  
Tighten the bolts.

 (e)  
Install a lockwire on the bolts.

Put the In-Line Air Filter in the speed control air pressure line.

 (3)  
Connect the speed control air pressure line to the union on the speed control valve water separator housing.

Check speed control valve in-line air filter and water separator connections for leaks (AMM 29-11-15/201).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU LATCH THE FAIRING DOORS ON THE TRAILING EDGE
_______ CORRECTLY. DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE DOORS OPEN DURING A FLIGHT.
 (5)  Close the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the applicable strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

 (1)  
Open the fairing doors on the trailing edge of the applicable strut (AMM 54-62-00/201).

Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

Remove the water separator for the shutoff valve:

 (a)  
Disconnect the shutoff and modulator supply tube from between the two tee fittings. 1) Remove the supply tube.

 (b)  
Disconnect the tee fitting from the water separator housing on the shutoff valve.
