Remove the caps from the ADP (1) ports.

If a new ADP is to be installed, install these parts:

NOTE: All the new packings and the fittings must be lubricated
____ with hydraulic fluid when you install them.

The packing (17), the backup ring (16), and the packing (15) on the adapter (14)
(b)
The adapter (14) in the ADP (1) pressure port 1) Tighten the adapter to 710-790 pound-inches (81-90 N.m)

(d)
The union (12) in the pump supply port 1) Tighten the union to 855-945 pound-inches (97-107 N.m).
(e)
The packing (10), the backup ring (11) and the packing (9) on the adapter (8)
(f)
The adapter (8) in the case drain port. 1) Tighten the adapter to 265-295 pound-inches (30-33 N.m).

Install the ADP (1):
(a)
Lubricate the packing (7) with engine oil.
(b)
Install the packing (7) in the groove on the ADP (1) drive shaft.
(c)
Lift the ADP (1) into its position against the turbine drive. 1) Turn the ADP (1) counterclockwise.
(d)
Tighten the nuts (3) to 260-320 pound-inches (30-35 N.m).

(4) Connect the hydraulic lines:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU CLOCK THE ADP PRESSURE HOSE CONNECTION SUCH
_______ THAT THE PRESSURE HOSE DOES NOT CHAFFE OR CONTACT THE STRUT DOOR HOLD-OPEN ROD.
(a) Connect the pressure hose (6), the case drain hose (4), and the supply hose (5) to the ADP (1).
NOTE: In a left side view of strut, route hoses inside of ADP
____ pressure hose and insure proper drainage by positioning fittings on pneumatic duct and strut drag brace so that hose will lay in a straight downward plane, draining aft without sagging or kinking. Hose shall clear adjacent hoses and structure by a minimum of 5/8 inch. Bend radius shall not be less than 2.25 inches.
1) Tighten the pressure hose connection to 710-790 pound-inches (80-89 N.m). 2) Tighten the connection for the case drain hose to 265-295 pound-inches (30-33 N.m). 3) Tighten the supply hose connection to 855-945 pound-inches (97-107N.m).
(b) Connect the drain tube (2) for the shaft seal to the ADP (1).

(5) Close the 7J1 HYDRAULICS DEMAND 1 or the 7F1 HYDRAULICS DEMAND 4 circuit breaker on the P7 circuit breaker panel for the applicable system.

Look at the EICAS HYD display to monitor the hydraulic reservoir level.
(a)
Fill the hydraulic reservoir if it is necessary
(AMM 12-12-01/301).

Do a test of the installation of the air-driven pump:
(a)
Install the ADP muffler on the turbine exhaust.
(b)
Supply pressure to the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).
(c)
Put the applicable HYD DEMAND switch on the P5 panel in the ON position.
(d)
Examine the ADP installation for leakage.
1) If you find leakage, repair the cause of it.
(e)
Put the HYD DEMAND switch in the OFF position.
(f)
Release the pressure in the pneumatic system
(AMM 36-00-00/201).
(g)
Remove the ADP muffler.
(h)
Look at the EICAS HYD display to monitor the reservoir level.
1) Fill or drain the reservoir if it is necessary (AMM 12-12-01/301).
