(d) If you are scheduled to move all of the fuel from the reserve tanks, continue until the reserve tank fuel quantities on the fuel synoptic are zero.
NOTE: The flow bars in the reserve tank transfer arrows will
____ not show when the reserve tank fuel quantity decreases to less than 100 pounds (45 kilograms).

Do these steps to continue with the fuel transfer operation:
(a)
Continue to transfer fuel from the other tanks (if necessary)
(b)
Do this procedure: Drain the Remaining Fuel (if necessary)
(c)
Do this procedure: Put the Airplane Back to the Usual Condition.
I.
Drain the Remaining Fuel

(1)
Electrically ground the container and other applicable equipment to the airplane structure (AMM 20-41-01/201).
(a)
Do not connect the container and the other equipment to the airplane structure in the area immediately adjacent to the sump drain valve.

(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the main, reserve, and center wing tanks.
NOTE: The best airplane attitude to drain the fuel tank sumps
____
is 1/2° nose-down pitch and 0° roll.
The approximate quantity of remaining fuel in each sump is: 5 gallons in each reserve tank, 35 gallons in each outboard main, 25 gallons in each inboard main, and 125 gallons in the center wing tank.
(a)
Put the hose for the drain tool assembly in the container.
(b)
Put the drain tool into the sump drain fitting.
(c)
When the fuel flow stops, remove the drain tool assembly.

Put the Airplane Back to the Usual Condition

At the left and right pressure refuel station, do these steps:
(a)
Make sure these valve switches are in the CLOSED position: 1) Refuel valves for all tanks 2) Manual shutoff valves 3) Manual defueling valves.
a) Lockwire the manual defueling valve handles.
(b)
Close the access panels, 521BB and 621BB, for the pressure refuel station.
(c)
Close the access panel, 521CB, for the refuel control panel.

If you transferred fuel from the main tanks or center wing tank, do these steps:
(a)
AIRPLANES WITH A HYDROMECHANICAL SCAVENGE SYSTEM; Install the fuel strainers (AMM 28-15-00/201).

(b) Close these valves with the manual override lever (AMM 28-31-04/401): 1) Jettison transfer valve for the No. 2 main tank 2) Jettison transfer valve for the No. 3 main tank 3) Left and right jettison transfer valves for the center wing
tank.
