TASK 28-25-00-872-001
1. APU Fuel Feed System Air Removal________________________________
A. General
(1)
Air must be removed from the APU fuel feed system when the No. 2 main tank is defueled. To remove the air, loosen the APU fuel supply line connector in the APU compartment and pressurize the fuel supply line.

Procedure

(1)
Make sure the APU master control switch on the P5 pilots' overhead panel is set to OFF.
(2)
Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag to the APU master control switch.
(3)
Open the APU access doors and engage the door support rods.

Put the container below the fuel line connector at the drain bracket, forward of the lower gearbox.

(5) S 032-017Loosen the fuel line connector.
(6) S 862-005Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master control switch.
(7) S 862-006Supply electrical power, if it is not available (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(8) S 862-007Set the APU master control switch to ON to the operate fuel boost pump.
(9) S 872-008Operate the fuel boost pump until air is removed from the fuel supply line and fuel drips from the fuel line connector.
