(b) (c) (d) From in the fuel tank, engage the splines of the adapter shaft (1) and the valve body.Install the bolts (7) and washers (8) (four locations) that attach the adapter (1) to the front spar.Install lockwire on the bolts (7).
(4) S 414-052Do these steps to close the fuel tank: (a) Close and go out of the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201). (b) Install the applicable mid spar access door(s) if opened (AMM 28-11-25/401). (c) Install the applicable main tank access doors (AMM 28-11-02/401).
(5) S 824-014Do this task: Adapter Shaft Alignment (AMM 28-00-01/201).
NOTE:____ The index plate (2) is aligned with valve body and the actuator. After the index plate is aligned, the screws (4), (5) and washers (3) are installed and lockwired.
(6) S 434-049Install the engine spar valve actuator and bonding jumper (AMM 28-22-01/401).
NOTE:____ Make sure the electrical resistance between the actuator and front spar is not more than 0.008 ohms (SWPM 20-20-00).
(7) S 394-069AIRPLANES WITHOUT PRIMER BETWEEN THE SPAR AND THE ADAPTER PLATE; Do these steps: (a) Apply a fillet seal of BMS5-95 sealant around the periphery of the adapter plate (1) (AMM 28-11-00/801). (b) Apply these protective finishes to any bare areas of the front spar not covered with the sealant: 1) Alodine 600 (AMM 51-21-04/701). 2) BMS 10-20 Type II primer (AMM 28-11-00/801).
(8) S 794-051Do these steps to check for external fuel leaks at the spar valve: (a) Refuel the applicable main tank (AMM 12-11-01/301).

Do these steps to prepare the airplane for the operational tests:
(a)
Install any access panels removed for access to the valve actuator (AMM 28-22-01/401).
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO
_______ REMOVE THE LE FLAP SAFETY LOCKS. THE LE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT DO THE STEPS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b) Retract and deactivate the leading edge flaps (AMM 27-81-00/201).

FUEL CROSSFEED VALVE BODY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains instructions to remove and install the fuel crossfeed valve body (referred to as the valve body).
B. One valve body is found in each main fuel tank, installed in the fuel crossfeed manifold, inboard of the fuel line spar penetration.
C. Access to the valve body is through the applicable fuel tank access door installed below the wing.
