Procedure


 S 214-021
 (1)  
Examine the ejector pump for unwanted materials.

 S 164-022

 (2)  
If you see unwanted materials, clean the ejector pump before you install it.

 (a)  
Remove the nut from the motive port.

 (b)  
Remove the jet nozzle from the ejector pump.

 (c)  
Remove unwanted materials from the ejector pump or jet nozzle with pressurized air.

 (d)  
Install the jet nozzle in the ejector pump.

 (e)  
Install the nut on the motive port.

 (f)  
Install lockwire on the nut on the motive port.

 (3)  
Clean the ejector pump with solvent.

 (4)
Put the ejector pump in its position on the mounting bracket.

Install the bonding jumper below the top bolt on the ejector pump (AMM 20-11-15/401).

 (6)  S 434-023Install the bolts, washers, and nuts (2 locations) that attach the ejector pump to the mounting bracket.
 (7)  S 434-014Install new O-rings, lightly lubricated with petrolatum, in the couplings.
 (8)  S 434-024Connect the coupling on the pressure line at the motive port.
 (9)  S 434-026Connect the coupling on the water suction line at the induced port.

 On the forward ejector pump in the No. 1 and No. 4 main tanks, connect the coupling on the discharge line at the discharge port.

 Make sure the electrical resistance between the ejector pump and the airplane structure is not more than 0.010 ohm (AMM 20-22-01/601).

 ENGINE FUEL SHUTOFF (SPAR) VALVE ADAPTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure contains instructions to remove and install the engine fuel shutoff (spar valve) adapter that connects the valve body with its actuator.
 B.  The engine fuel shutoff adapter will be referred to as the engine spar valve adapter or adapter in this procedure.
 C.  The valve adapter consists of the adapter plate, index plate and adapter shaft. The index plate and adapter plate are attached to the actuator on the outside of the tank at the front spar. The adapter shaft extends from the adapter plate through an opening in the front spar and engages with a receptacle in the valve body. To remove a valve adapter you must enter the applicable main fuel tank and remove the bolts that attach the adapter plate to the front spar.
 D.  AIRPLANES WITH PW OR RR ENGINES; The No. 1 and 4 engine spar valves are installed rotated 180 degrees compared to the No. 2 and 3 spar valves. This includes the valve body, valve adapter and actuator. For these valves, the TOP position markers on the valve body must face toward the bottom of the fuel tank. The index marks on the valve body must also face toward the bottom of the tank when the valve body is closed. The adapter plate is installed with the TOP position marker located on the bottom of the plate.
