(1) AIRPLANES WITH A BARE METAL SURFACE AT THE MOUNTING BRACKET; Prepare the mating surfaces of the valve body (1) and mounting bracket for a fay surface bond (SWPM 20-20-00) (View B).

(2) S 864-011Make sure the actuator is in the closed position.
(3) S 424-012Install the valve body (1) with the TOP position indication on top of the valve (nearest the wing upper skin).
(4) S 424-028Engage the valve body (1) with the adapter shaft (5).
(5) S 824-020Make sure the index marks on the adapter shaft and the valve body align (View C).
NOTE:____ The index marks on the valve body must be on top when the valve is closed (nearest the wing upper skin).
(6) S 434-026Do these steps to install the valve body (1): (a) Install the bolts (3) and washers (4) (four locations) that attach the valve body (1) to the mounting bracket (6). (b) AIRPLANES WITH A BARE METAL SURFACE AT THE MOUNTING BRACKET; Apply these protective finishes to any exposed areas on the mounting bracket: 1) Alodine 600 (AMM 51-21-04/701) 2) BMS 10-20 Type II primer (AMM 28-11-00/801). (c) Put lockwire on the bolts (3). (d) Install new O-rings (7) in the couplings (2) on the fuel line (View A-A).
